Philosophy

Beyond Symptom Removal

Most of the people who come to me have already tried other approaches. They've been medicated, counseled, coached — and yet something essential remains unresolved. That's because true healing requires more than symptom management. It requires understanding.

"One of the great joys and privileges of my career has been watching people discover who they truly are."

My approach is rooted in the psychoanalytic tradition of psychodynamic therapy — a tradition that takes seriously the idea that our emotional lives have meaning. Your anxiety, your depression, your recurring patterns — these are not random malfunctions. They are signals from a part of you that deserves to be heard.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is the primary instrument of change. When you feel truly understood — not diagnosed, not categorized, but understood — something shifts. And from that shift, genuine transformation becomes possible.
